Our annual business plan sets out the work we expect to do this year, along with some background on how we chose certain topics as priorities. This year’s business plan features some limited thematic inspections and a new form of Crown Prosecution Service Area inspection focusing on the quality of legal decision-making.

This year’s business plan coincides with the end of one chief inspector’s term of office and the beginning of another. The incoming chief inspector has the right to revise any plans and, as such, there are some aspects of this business plan that may be reviewed as the year progresses.
