This guide is based on information sourced while undertaking the MAPPA thematic inspection and work arising from key lines of enquiry. Throughout the guide, we explore what good MAPPA practice looks like, against our standards. We share an overview of the experiences of people of probation subject to MAPPA oversight; with thanks to Penal Reform Solutions for their research. The guide then shares real-life examples of leadership, strategy and policy and different aspects of effective case supervision.
